The Tale of an Eastern Man in the World

The owner of this portfolio is an adult (thirty-plus) with interesting characteristics along with his name which itself defines the duality of his character. The name of the owner is called Srabon which means rain in Bengali born in the rainy season in August. August is the month of Leo (horoscope) who is generally a fire sign ruled by the mighty Sun. The duality here lies between the name that signifies water and horoscope that signifies fire which are completely two opposite in characteristics. The fire and the water create a blending of characteristics of this person, varying his mood from being completely cold as ice to distilled liquid water, and vaporising like Sauna. Unlike others, the person prefers to be different from others at any cost to be authentic not necessarily out of marginality. The person prefers to be a little rebel who always criticizes the uncritical thinking of the masses and the government. Unlike the Mass people, this person has grown a tendency to see things from a parallel and pluralistic view avoiding any cliches of singularity. Therefore, the person also questions the stereotypical and dogmatic aesthetics of religious and non-religious (rationalism, …

He comes from a postcolonial third-world country in the East and lives in a postmodern first-world country in the West through the bridge of English literature (Bachelor) and Philology (Master). Since there is a duality of time and space, he also dwells in a double world, where he simultaneously merges two worlds and adjusts his own. Apart from the fact that the person has multiple faces due to his star position, he has to maintain a dual face of Eastern and Western, even though he does not want it. It creates a dilemma of transculturality and post-coloniality. Yet the person is going against the clouds and storms to enlighten himself. He is trying to make his own belonging within the borders of two continents with a completely different taste of cultures. Living in two different times and spaces, the person has adopted different tastes varying from Bangaliyana (defines Bengali people and love for fish and rice) to Breadeterianism (a new term invented by me to introduce someone dependent on Bread). Besides, the person has learned to hybridise food in a notion of blending where it is quite tough to trace his roots. Although I am aware of my roots, the constant influx of the two worlds makes me question my roots. I just simply love to play with it.

This person is a spiritualistic nondualist, naturist, and escapist. He believes in the equality of every being and every being having God’s consciousness. He does not have issues with eating flash but has issues with industrial farming, killing animals for no reason, or treating any beings as sub-beings. Although there is no pure neutrality, the person prefers to be as neutral as possible. He prefers a naturistic and humanistic approach. He loves to tell tales,  observe people, technologies and literature, roam in nature, read novels, write stories and poems, love cooking and feeding friends, and take photos, especially of nature, nature, landscape and portraits. Recently, he has developed a passion for blogging and journalism, although he was always socially active on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

The person is on the verge of creating his own identity from totally scratch. It is not that the person does not have any skills or experience, it is just that the person prefers to be very individualistic in nature. His creative sense always expects to experience something new, something unknown and something that is not everyone’s cup of tea. Apart from that, the person has leadership qualities, team management and very democratic when it comes to accepting feedback and giving opinions. When it comes to grasping criticism, the person has always space for it but definitely with decency. He prefers persons who are independent and also respect others’ independence to make remarks.

Things I Stand For

The Journey of becoming….

Every sunrise reminds me that transformation is not an inevitable rhythm. it is a story of constant evolving and becoming into someone better. It all begins with understanding the matrix of life, the pattern of reimagined talent and intelligence. It just needs a visionary eye to look at and for. When we understand, we recognize, we connect.

Life starts with observing and experience. Therefore, the moment we learn to see beyond the picture, the story that lies beneath, we start seeing the greater picture of life. it just evolves when we know by unfolding the truth just like how flowers blooms. The observer does not just experience, he unfolds every bit of it, step by step, inch by inch, he, therefore, transforms into an obsolete being with whom no one can connect. He becomes unpredictable, yet constantly reshaping his perceptions, his emotions.

The one who sees beyond the materialistic life, and values has the ability to lead the human kind towards the true enlightenment. True enlightenment comes through a process of seeking and acknowledging what we stand for. Only the light bringer sees the truth that he can show to the seekers. He is fiercely motivated to show the light to the non enlightened. Therefore, he dreams, he determines and he develops himself consequentially removing the darkness of ego.

A true empath has the courage to motivate and cultivate positivity. It enables him to share the light of knowledge to the dawned beings. He establishes optimism to enhance their quality, capability and eradicates the nuances of illiteracy. He has the courage to keep creating the hope even when the world feels heavy.

Then again, when the world is in trouble, it needs someone to take care of, to show the people why it is necessary to be friendly with the earth so that the mother earth remains capable of sustaining and surviving through the highs and lows of life. It does not cost extra to be ecology and environment friendly.
