Look at that!! What an exotic creature this post colonial world has brought into the post modern world! Look at the representation, I didn’t change the location, yet the location has itself changed. Within that, I lost my sense of identity myself. For which, I am constantly trying to recreate and rediscover myself.
I didn’t just lose myself, but also the sense of time, space and belonging. Yet the irony is that I have become restless to find myself, and where I belong. Neither could I fit myself anywhere, nor could I be a part of any community to it’s best.
Yet the irony is that as a Bengali boy, I am trying to be an English man in the Western world.
Hello everyone, Good morning from Germany, I hope you guys are doing well. Today I’m going to talk about mine tagline that I am supposed to use. Let’s deep dive into this.
In 2025, I started looking for myself so that I can find out what I am, what my problems are, and what defines me. And to do that, I started reading books, meditating, doing yoga to understand my self. Lately, I have started looking for job. Therefore, It was necessary that I know myself so that I don’t lie in my CV. I’m so idealistic in nature that I don’t like telling lies about myself because it’s quite a cheating.
So I started exploring myself and day by day I updated my CV. It took me one month around to complete my CV. And I must admit that I am very philosophical in nature, along with my spiritual views. And I thought what I can write in my CV in one sentence that can define me both materialistically and philosophically. And then the idea came into my mind that I have explored myself thoroughly that I know quite evey inch of me. I also use to be on Tinder and the most frequent thing written in their Bio something like as a man, you must know yourself what you want. So, I found out every inch of me, where I remain unquestionable to anyone, even though I was not even a match with anyone. It’s because of idealistic nature. 😂
So, at the end, I decided to write in my CV,
” A man who knows himself.” I mean it’s not wrong after all. Because I know quite a bit of me, not just from one angle but from quite a few angles. Yet I didn’t updated it on my CV.
What do you think? Should I update it on my CV or not? Let me know in the comments section. Thank you your time.
My professor asked me one question in Thesis defense, and that is, “What is culture to you?” And I answered, “Culture is something where we can relate ourselves to, irrespective individual or collective. Where we can’t relate ourselves, there’s barely any culture there.”
The man from this picture named Sonst, once met me in the forest, while I was meditating. He sat by my side and had an interesting conversation about different topics. The conversation was definitely quite intense, cause, we both were quite philosophical in nature. All on a sudden, he asked, “Are you left handed?” I said, “yes, why?” He said, “me too. Do you know? We are a minority of 10% in number. I had also some left handed girlfriends.”
Sarcastically, I asked, “how many is actually ‘some girlfriends’ to you?”
He said, “well, let’s not open the secret. Let’s say, I were quite lucky. “
The fact is, Sonst was not wrong about the left landed people. Yet I was relating to him as a Bangladeshi, speaking to a German guy. He was not wrong at all too. Even if I was at his place, I wouldn’t also reveal the number of ‘some’ to others.
