The languages that I speak are Bengali, English, German, and Hindi.

Which languages do you speak and how did that impact your life?

Hi everyone, I hope you guys are doing well. I’m also doing well. Today I’m going to talk about the languages that I speak and how the impact my life.

Languages are non separable part of our lives and no matter how much we try we cannot get ourselves communicate with others. Therefore it is crucial to develop not just one language I think but more than at least two languages because we are living in an age of globalization. It helps you to create a network or so to say a connotative framework with people where you can have the pun of the language and create your own type of people.

So the languages I speak are Bengali, English, German and a little bit of Hindi.

My mother tongue is Bengali. English is my second language and right now the most spoken or used language. I can use or have to use German because right now I’m living in Germany and sometimes I have to use Hindi because I have some friends from India, Pakistan, Nepal and so on and on.

So how does the languages impact my life? What are the purposes that language serve? So let’s go into the details. The solarly purpose of language is not just communicate but understand people properly. While the Bengali language helps me to communicate with the people from Bangladesh, Calcutta in India, the other languages allow me to be part of the global community. It allows me to be fluid and to get connected with the global people. So you can say that language is a very powerful tool here which is enabling me to be a global citizen.

Not just that, you can actually make a neurological connection with people which is called connotative framework in which you understand the pun of the language or the sarcasm embedded with the language or the humor related to the language. The moment to understand these things you would understand that you have become part of that certain community.

Right now I can have the pun of Bengali, Hindi and English (international community, but not specifically British, American or Australian). My understanding of German language has become better but I’m still not that fluent in German. So I barely have the connotative framework with the German people. But I must admit that I have sometimes really good conversations with some random German people. And I love that.

Besides, I’m using the language’s for the purpose of recognition, creating more visibility of my work and making myself marketable to the world. That is helping me to improve myself constantly.

So that’s all for today. I hope you liked it. If you like it feel free to subscribe my blog. Thank you very much. Have a nice day!!
